A Fun and Simple Way to Declutter Your Phone’s Photos

I’ll be honest—my phone’s camera roll is out of control. We’re talking hundreds of random screenshots, endless sunset pics (because sometimes I take a couple dozen to get just the right one), and random photos I swore I’d delete but never did. But I’ve found a fun, easy way to start fixing it.

And the best part? It’s turned into a little daily moment of joy!

The Daily Date Photo Cleanout

Here’s my super simple trick: Every day, search your photo gallery for today’s date (but leave out the year). So on March 19th, click on the magnifying glass in your photos app and type “March 19” into the search bar. Boom! Your phone will pull up all the photos you’ve taken on this day in past years.

My cleanout for tomorrow: ballet, Park City, swimming lessons, and some online preschool (because 2020)

Now, do these four quick things:

1. Delete the ones you don’t need—blurry pics, duplicates, weird screenshots (why did you even save that?).

2. Enjoy the ones you forgot about. It’s like a mini time capsule, and honestly, kind of the best part.

3. Share the gems! Text them to a friend, post them on social, or send them to family. (And if you do, check out my fun giveaway below!)

4. Print the ones you really love. If it still makes you smile years later, it deserves a spot in the real world—not just your phone.
